Welland Snaps: Quartet

Sunday started with a morning walk through the college campus. In the afternoon I visited other favourite stomping grounds to record the sites, putting together this collection of four. Above, a trail along the recreational waterway, this site not far from Main Street Bridge, looking north. (All photos by Joe Barkovich)

Next stop was Merritt Park, where trails had already been cut by previous walkers, though following in their tracks was not without challenge because of the depth of snow in places. I selected this image because of the bridge in the background.

Also from Merritt Park, a railing and staircase leading to the canal-side amphitheatre.

Walking the canal trail off Lincoln Street West, behind St. Charles Village was a slow go because of depth of snow and lack of tracks to follow. Still, it provided a scenic view and chance to frame one of Welland's four-season attractions au naturel. (Welland Snaps is a recurring feature, appearing Mondays.)
