Snow: 5 to 10 cm Expected

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Niagara Falls – Welland – Southern Niagara Region
  • St. Catharines – Grimsby – Northern Niagara Region

Total snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are expected by this afternoon. Some areas along the eastern shores of Lakes Erie and Ontario could see total snowfall amounts exceeding 10 cm. The snow may be heavy at times.

In addition, strong wind gusts up to 70 km/h associated with a cold front may give local blowing snow and reduced visibility.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution as the roads may become hazardous at times.
