Changes to library’s resource collection
WELLAND – For some, the New Year is a time to exercise fiscal restraint. This is the case for Welland Public Library, when it comes to electronic resources.
The Province of Ontario is no longer funding a core package of electronic materials for public libraries, and as a result, WPL has had to make some difficult decisions about which electronic resources to keep.
Beginning this year, you will notice some changes in the digital information available to you as a library member. Library staff have worked hard to come up with a solution that still includes our most popular eResources as well as essential research materials.
Although some resources were let go, staff are confident that there is something for everyone in the 2016 digital collection. Below is the updated list of eResources you can access 24/7 with your library card number and PIN, and an Internet connection. For more information about all of these resources, visit the Digital Information and Digital Media sections of our website.
