Winter storm warning in effect for:
- Niagara Falls – Welland – Southern Niagara Region
- St. Catharines – Grimsby – Northern Niagara Region
Hazardous winter conditions are expected.
A winter storm will bring freezing rain, ice pellets, and snow to the north shore or Lake Erie tonight.
There are reports of freezing rain in Windsor at the moment and this area of freezing rain or ice pellets will continue to move eastward and likely begin late this afternoon or this evening and continue for several hours before changing to snow and local blowing snow overnight.
Total snowfall amounts near 10 cm are possible by Wednesday morning.
Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous. Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas.
