DROP IN AT THE LIBRARY LOUNGE
WELLAND – On Friday, September 9, Welland Public Library will host The Library Lounge: An Evening of Wine and Live Music. Doors open at 7:30pm. Enjoy an evening of live music, Niagara wines, light fare and a silent auction. Proceeds from this special event assist in the purchase of new technology for the Library.

WELLAND – Registration begins Thursday, August 25 for fall/winter programs and activities at the Welland Community Wellness Complex, 145 Lincoln St. Registration on site is from 8am to 9pm and is also available online or by mail.
DOWNTOWN WALKING TOUR
WELLAND – A downtown walking tour leaves from Welland museum Thursday, August 25 at 6pm. Price is $10 per person, $8 for members of the museum. Pre-registration required, call the museum at 905-732-2215.

POPULAR BOOK SALE OCTOBER 1
WELLAND – There will be many, many books at attractive prices at the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) Annual Book Sale! And not just books, but games, puzzles, CDs, DVDs, and magazines, too! Mark your calendar—the book sale will be Saturday, October 1, from 9am to 3pm, at the Niagara Regional Exhibition Grounds (Welland Fairgrounds). Donations can be dropped off at the fairgrounds from Wed, Sept. 28 until Friday, September 30, 9am til 3pm.
LIVE CONCERTS AT WELLNESS CENTRE
WELLAND – The Friday Night Live concert series starts in September at the Welland Community Wellness Complex, 145 Lincoln St. Scheduled performers include: Niagara String Band, September 30; Evan Champagne, October 21; and Sammi Morelli, November 25. The free performances, held in the theatre, get underway at 7pm.
