NIAGARA COLLEGE’S TRUNK SALE A WIN-WIN-WIN
WELLAND – Have reusable household items to sell? The public is invited to register now for Niagara College’s second annual Trunk Sale.
To be held September 10 at the College’s Welland Campus, the NC Trunk Sale offers an opportunity for the public and college community to sell their reusable items (such as books, toys, clothes, collectibles, furniture, etc.), while those who attend the sale can shop for treasures from multiple sellers in a single convenient location – like attending several yard/garage sales at once.
Those who wish to sell items at the NC Trunk Sale must register in advance to reserve a parking spot, where they will conduct their sales. Items may be sold from the trunk of a car or displayed on tables within the perimeter of the seller’s assigned spot.
While vendors retain all money from the sales of their items, funds raised from parking space reservations will be donated to the United Way of South Niagara. The spots – about 50 in total –may be reserved for $25 for a single space or $40 for a double. Registration is open from now until September 7.
Niagara College is a long-time supporter of the United Way of South Niagara. Last year, its United Way campaign raised a record-setting $42,629 and was formally recognized with a 2015 Workplace Campaign of the Year Award by the UWSN.
The NC Trunk Sale will be held rain or shine on September 10, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Welland Campus (Parking Lot A and front field) and there is no cost for visitors to attend. In addition to the sale, the family-friendly event will feature bouncy castles and food.
