Joanie Romano came through with some good news.
A member of the immensely talented musicians/vocalists, Kindred, she said in email correspondence that the group will be performing in December at the Welland Community Wellness Complex, in the theatre.
She said they have put together “a wonderful showcase”, From Celtic to Cajun – A Musical Journey.
She also said that with the date being close to Christmas, the performance will include “a few tunes of the season” but still keeping within the showcase theme.
Now I don’t know about you, but if this gig is anything like others I have been at in the past year, you won’t be disappointed, not in the least!
We were there for last year’s Christmas show, it was amazing with a wide variety of music: down east, Cajun, bluegrass, spiritual and secular seasonal tunes and much more.
Also caught them in a special performance at The Squire, Seaway Mall and in one of the concerts by the canal during the summer just gone by.
The upcoming concert is scheduled on Saturday, December 10, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Tickets are available from any band member, at the Wellness Centre office, through email to Romano, or at the door – but don’t wait to the last minute, it just may be sold out!
I’ll have more on this performance later in the month.
