Warnings

  • POSTED: 3:06 PM EST Wednesday 14 December 2016
    Snow squall warning in effect for:

    • Niagara Falls – Welland – Southern Niagara Region

    Snow squalls off Lake Erie have shifted northward into the Port
    Colborne and Fort Erie areas. Local snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm
    will be possible before the squalls shift back to the south this
    evening. Whiteout conditions may also occur.

    Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility. Road closures are possible. For information on emergency plans and kits go to http://www.getprepared.gc.ca/
