Very strong wind gusts that may cause damage are expected or occurring.
Strong south to southwest winds of 70 km/h with gusts to 90 km/h are expected to develop early this evening. Winds will begin to weaken slowly overnight and Wednesday morning.
A few gusts to 100 km/h are possible over exposed areas near the Great Lakes tonight.
The wind will be strong enough at times to cause minor damage to trees and buildings. Local power outages are possible.
Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.
