WELLAND – Join in at Welland Library (Main Branch) on Saturday, April 29 from 2-4pm to celebrate National Poetry Month. Enjoy dynamic and diverse readings by John B. Lee, Poet Laureate of Brantford and Norfolk County; Adam Dickinson, professor of poetry at Brock University; Taylor Peebles, Welland poet and activist; and accomplished Toronto poets, Jade Wallace and Julie Mannell, formerly of Fonthill. Light refreshments provided.
This WPL event kicks off a full day of celebrating poetry that continues at 6pm at The Black Sheep Lounge with the return of the Grey Borders Magazine Reading Series.

The 2017 National Poetry month theme is Time; participants should explore this theme in relation to Canada and its 150 years or Welland’s 100th anniversary of becoming a city.
