CANVAS AND COFFEE – PAINTING WITH KIM MOREAU
WELLAND –This exciting paint party, in support of Welland’s Outpatient Mental Health Clinic, will take place on Thursday, May 25 from 6:30-8:30pm in the Community Room.
Have you ever wanted to try a painting party but were discouraged by the cost, location, or a lack of experience? Well, we’ve got just the answer for you! The Welland Public Library is hosting its first ever Canvas & Coffee painting event on May 25th at 6:30pm led by artist and art teacher, Kim Moreau. No experience is required; and even better: the event is free with your donation of a new aluminum water bottle and/or bottle of adult sunscreen!
These items will be donated to the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic in Welland. This clinic offers a group-based program that helps people living with mental health issues learn to cope with – and hopefully alleviate – their mental health symptoms. The severity of these symptoms often hinders the person’s ability to work; their primary modes of transportation are taking the bus, riding bikes, or walking.
These donations will help reduce the risks of sun exposure and provide for a happier, healthier summer. Come out for a fun evening with friends and support this great cause! Light refreshments will be provided.
Tickets will be available May 1 but are limited so act fast! Donations will be collected at time of ticket pick up.
