WELLAND – This week hundreds of people are tuning in and turning up to Green New Deal Town Halls across the country.
This non-partisan, grassroots movement is providing a forum for citizens to discuss climate change and generate strategies that are imperative for the future of all Canadians living on the planet.
Climate change is a social justice issue that affects all of us. Canada can take the lead in directing initiatives that reduce our carbon footprint which in turn provide sustainable development that is good for people and for the planet. It takes all of us and I invite you to join the movement. The Green New Deal Town Hall for Welland takes place Saturday, May 25 at 11am at Welland Civic Square (rooms 108/109).
